Røste Hyttetun & Camping is located about 11 km south of Røros along Fv 30. If you choose motorcycle camping in Norway, you are warmly welcome to visit us. We gladly welcome all motorcycle campers.

Directions to Røste Hyttetun & Camping

Here are some recommended scenic motorcycle routes to Røste Hyttetun & Camping.

From the north:

• Take Fv 705 from Hell towards Brekken, then continue on Fv 561 along the north side of Aursunden.
• Recommended stop: Langsvola (approx. 920 m above sea level) – enjoy stunning views of the mountains, including Sylan to the east.
• Continue on the road to Røste Hyttetun & Camping.

From the south:

• Take Fv 607 from Rena along Storsjøen to Åkrestrømmen.
• From there, continue on Fv 30 to Røste, or take Fv 217 to Isterfossen, Fv 26 to Sømådalen, and Fv 28 to Røste.

From the west:

• Take Fv 27 over Venabufjellet from Ringebu to Atnadalen, then north to Folldal.
• Recommended stop: Solberg plass – great views of Rondane.
• Follow Fv 29 to Alvdal, then Fv 681 to Tynset, and finally Fv 30 to Røste.

From the east:

• Follow the Kopparleden route from Røros to Falun.
• From Falun, take road 70 to the national border, then Fv 218 to Drevsjø, Fv 26 to Sømådalen, and Fv 28 to Røste.

For those who enjoy riding on gravel, there are many beautiful roads in the area.

Tronfjell Road: The road up to Tronfjellet is Norway’s second-highest road open to vehicles, reaching 1666 meters above sea level. The gravel road starts at Alvdal (around 500 m) and is about 15 km long. There is a toll with a self-service box. More info here.
Narbuvoll – Øversjødalen: The road over Øversjødalsfjellet is approximately 17.5 km long, with many curves and some steep sections. Toll with self-service box. More info here.
Grådals Road: From Hådalen (near Røros) to Tufsingdal. The road is around 23 km long, ranging from 646 to 780 meters above sea level, with many curves. Toll with self-service box.
Vangrøftdal Road: Starts in Dalsbygda and leads toward Forollhogna National Park. About 17 km to Såttåhaugen, with several side roads extending the total distance. The road winds through lush summer farms. Toll with self-service box.
Dalsbygda – Vingelen via Langen: This road passes through scenic summer farm valleys. Toll with self-service box.
