Camping near Røros – just 11 km from the town centre. Røste Hyttetun & Camping offers camping in scenic surroundings, close to Røros, ideal for motorhomes, caravans and tents.
Camping near Røros with great facilities. Almost the entire campsite is grass-covered and offers space for approx. 40 caravans, motorhomes or tents – all with electricity hookups. The campsite is just a short drive from Røros town centre.
We have a dedicated area for motorhomes and small caravans, with 12 level gravel pitches with electricity. Each pitch also has its own adjacent grass area.
For guests who prefer a simpler and more nature-based experience, we also offer a sheltered tent area without electricity and Wi-Fi.
Prices and season
Prices vary by season and apply from 15 June to 20 August, as well as during the Røros Christmas Market, Femundsløpet, Rørosmartnan, various sports events, and during the Christmas, winter and Easter holidays.
The listed price applies to 2 people in a caravan, motorhome or tent. An additional NOK 10 per night applies for each extra person.
Lower prices apply outside the high season.

The playground is located in a central area of the campsite.
Sanitary facilities
Sanitary facilities with good capacity. The facilities are spacious and suitable for both families and guests with reduced mobility, including a dedicated family/handicap room.
The laundry room is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and drying cabinet. Showers, washing machine, tumble dryer, and drying cabinet operate via coin machines.
The shared kitchen is well-equipped with a stovetop and oven, microwave, sink, and dining area.

Røstestuggu / Common room
Common areas for socializing. The common room, located centrally on the campsite, has approximately 20 seats – a cozy gathering place for guests.
In addition, there are two open shelters with barbecue facilities available for all guests, perfect for enjoying meals and socializing outdoors.
